What I’ve learned with the last “post of questions” isn’t what was expected. That’s good! I’m learning something about engagement. So, what innovation now?
Good Day to You,
That “post of questions” is still very important to me, so the invitation to share your thoughts by using the contact form on that post is always ready for your answers.
So, what have I learned?
Let’s be clear here. That post was a big BUST. Next to no visitors, only one comment and no better understanding of my target audience.
Now, you might think that this would leave me so discouraged that the whole idea of being an Internet Marketer and Affiliate Marketer should be totally abandoned and forgotten.
This isn’t the first time something tried has failed badly, you could just shack your head, consider me “crazy” and wonder why I even bother.
It probably won’t be the last time I fail. Yes, it does get discouraging!
No, I will not stop trying.
If the majority of people who made significant contributions to the betterment of the human race or to building a business had just stopped trying, what would our world be like right now?
Almost everything in our modern world that we take for granted and depend on came about after countless attempts and fails.
Guess I’m in good company!
An Inspiring Post and Video
I highly recommend that you take the time to watch the Ted Talk called “How Great Leaders Inspire Action”, linked to in the first paragraph of the post I recommend you go to below. The talk is titled “How great leaders inspire action”.
This link will open in a new tab or window, so you won’t lose your place here. Go watch the video, read the post, and then come back so that we can connect better:
Simon Sinek talks about what he calls “The Golden Circle”. In the center of the circle is the word “why”.
To simplify a bit as a take away from that talk:
Mr. Sinek explains that we all know “what” we do. This is the outer layer of the circle.
He goes on to tell us that some of us know “how” we do what we do. This is the second layer of the circle.
“Why” we do it, “not to make a profit”, is at the center of the circle.
He explains the key difference that separates the way influential people, the people who really become a force for change, compared to most of us think.
Key influencers for change all start thinking with the “why”, which is harder and uncomfortable. It is our emotional and belief center, not our reasoning center. This will become clearer in a moment.
Most of us think from the “outside of the circle in” because it is easier.
It takes very little effort to consider “what” we are doing.
It takes a bit more effort to think about “how” we are doing it.
Our emotional belief center, “why” does not “reason” and has nothing to do with “language”. That’s where our “gut feelings” are.
We have to work harder and be willing to live with discomfort in order to effectively think with the “why” center of our brain.
This is the “why we get up in the morning” and the motivation behind all the things we do that matter to us on every level.
Trying to work out the WHY of the “what” and “how”, causes us to be uncomfortable because we have to work at figuring that out. It isn’t our normal way of thinking because it is not the “path of least resistance”.
The people who make significant differences in life, influencers, inventors and leaders are the ones who don’t think like the majority of us. They EMBRACE THE WHY method of thinking and end up changing the world.
I could tell you of the examples Mr. Sinek uses in the video, but you really should watch it. I promise it may just inspire you. I hope it does, because then you will begin to understand a little better, just why instead of just giving up, I’m “digging in” and pushing forward.

Things to think about
Here are some quotes from the video:
“People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.”
“The goal is not to do business with everybody who needs what you have.”
“The goal is to do business with people who believe what you believe”.
“If you don’t know why you do what you do and people respond to why you do what you do, then how will you ever get people to vote for you, buy from you, or even more importantly, be loyal, and want to be a part of what it is that you do?”
“What you do is the proof of what you believe.”
Watch the video to learn why this is not “psychological” behavior, but “biological” behavior.

“The Power of Persuasion”
Today Gabriella Sannino replied to the comment I left on the post. At the end of the comment I asked this question:
“How do we learn what our audience believes, needs, and wants?”
I want to thank Gabriella for the wonderful response and providing a link to “The Power of Persuasion”.
This guide teaches us about the “twelve critical Rules of Persuasion” and how to “utilize” them.
If you still haven’t read the post, please do.
I’m not going to provide a link to “The Power of Persuasion” here, but instruct you to read the comment I left along with the reply as well.
The link to “The Power of Persuasion” is at the end of the reply to my comment:
Social Media is still Growing!
Amazingly, my Twitter account continues to show steady growth with a high ratio of “likes” to “tweets”.
You can connect with me on Twitter at:
In the past I have sparingly tweeted for people to come directly to my site. This post will be different, because this message is important to all of us who are Internet Marketers.
Where my Niche Research is taking me
Repeatedly, we are told to connect with our audience. This is not the first time I’ve been at this juncture. Somehow, not really that surprising, my strongest connections end up being other marketers
How many times have you “followed” someone on Twitter, then get a direct message, asking you to look at their offer?
It seems only natural at this point that I stop looking at trying to “re-invent” myself. All the research I’ve been doing, trying to discover what my niche should be has shown me this.
The general categories that show promising popularity, also seem the most suited to my own interests.
They also relate perfectly with the connections being made on social media:
Home Based Business
Internet and Businesses Online
Computers and Technology
No product offerings have been decided on yet, and when a product gets considered it will be researched and the results shared with you before the offer. Resource Links will provide an easy way for you to verify my results and do your own research.
I’m going to be paying more attention to your product offers. You are welcome to tell me about your offers. No promises to promote and I’m not going to start buying products to test.
We can talk about “possibilities”.
Remember, I will always be “Helping first – Selling later”, so be prepared. Show me your belief. I want to know your why.
I believe this site and my interactions on social media already show you mine.
My Best to You
